Fr Asaeli Raass profile pic 150Welcome to our first edition of ‘In the Word’ for 2022 and the second edition of the new and refreshed design of our e-newsletter. We hope you like it!

The re-design extends right across our digital communications, including our website and our Society Matters mission magazine. It signifies the importance we place on communications as one of the key pillars of our mission.

App poster 150The Divine Word Missionaries AUS Province is reaching out further into the digital world with a new-look website and the launch of an App designed to deliver Mission news right to your phone or other mobile device.

With one touch, the free App provides news, scripture reflections, calendar events and more – perfect for keeping in touch with SVD Mission wherever you are.
Speaking at the launch of the App, Provincial, Fr Henry Adler SVD said it was another step from the Province to “make social communications and media part of our life and involve them in Mission”.

These days we hold meetings by video conference to save on airfares. And we are about to step up our communications by offering a refreshed new website and an SVD App.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF COUNTRY

In the spirit of reconciliation, the Society of the Divine Word, Australia Province, acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea, sky, and community.

We acknowledge their skin-groups, story-lines, traditions, religiosity and living cultures.

We pay respect to their elders, past, present, and emerging, and extend that respect to all indigenous peoples of New Zealand, Thailand, and Myanmar.

We are committed to building with them, a brighter future together.
